I have thus provided securing means which may be easily and economically stamped as an integrality and by the employment of which, electrical sockets and like articles may be securely clamped to the plates of signs etc. merely upon insertion of the screw the engaging part therefor being securely held in position upon the socket, being independently clamped to the socket in a permanent and secure manner, insuring against accidental detachment and the accruing inconveniences therefrom.

Having described my invention, what I claim is L'A securing means for electric lamp sockets and the like comprising a securing bolt and an engaging nut therefor provided with opposite integral downward extensions having their tips outwardly bent to clamp the nut in position' on the body.

2. The conibinat'ipn with a porcelain body and a securing means therefor, said securing means comprising. a bolt and an engaging nut for the bolt provided with fingerlike extensions depending therefrom and said body being recessed to receive said bolt and extensions said recess being enlarged to form shoulders to be engaged by the extension tips and to give access to bend over the tips permanently to clamp the nut on the body.

3. In a securing means for devices of the character described, a nut adapted to be secured in position on a wall of the device, said nut having integral portions at one end to engage with one surface of the wall, tips extending substantially at a right angle to said portions to engage with opposite surfaces on the wall and a screw threaded hole in the nut between the extensions.

4. A securing means for devices of the character described, consisting of a securing bolt and of a nut; said nut consisting of a fiat body having a threaded aperture to receive the bolt, opposite portions on the body to engage with one surface of the wall of the device to which the nut is applied, and opposite downward extensions on the body having tips bent to engage with an opposing surface of the wall.

In a securing means for electrical de vices, a nut adapted to be applied to a perforated lug on such a device, said nut being of sheet metal and having a flat main portion larger than the aert'oration to engage with one side of the lug and having opposite extensions downwardly extending at a ri ht an le to the main )ortion into the g g l perforation, said extensions having tips bent outwardly to engage with shoulders in the perforations and said main portion having a central threaded hole to receive a bolt.
