This invention relates to a label-pasting device and particularly pertains to an apparatus for distributing paste or other adhesive substance on the backs of labels, wrappers and sheet n'ialerial in genernl,

Having thus described my invention, ,what I claim and desire to secure by Letters- Patent, is--.

1. A label-pastingdevice, said device'consisting of a label support having a vertical guide frame at one end having a part explying paste to the labels, said receptace having acarriage plate, the said edges of which ,sliclably' engage the corresponding edges of the parallel sides of the guide frame whereby the paste receptacle may vertically move in said frame, and an abutment plate toward andfrom the paste receptacle.

2.-A label-pasting device, consisting of a support for the labels, saidsupport having at one end a guide frame WlllOh extends across said end and is provided with parallel. sides extending for a portion of the distance along the side edges of the support,

at the other end of the support adjustable said guideframe being open at one-side and at the top, a paste receptacle mounted in the top and open side of the guide frame, a carriage plate fixed to the paste receptacle having its ends extending beyond the sides of said receptacle, the adjacent edges of the carriage plate and the edges of the parallel sides of the guide frame being fashioned to engage and formguides for the carriage plate, a roller mounted in the discharge, end of the paste receptacle and beneath which labels projecting into the portion of the open front of the guide frame below the paste receptacle, and afollower block ad justably mounted on the opposite end of the support having its edges bent .to embrace the corresponding edges of the labels.
