Other objects and advantages will be apparent from the following description and it will be understood that changesin the specific structure shown and described may be made within the scope of the claims with- 'ut departing'from the spirit of the invention.
In the drawings forming a portion of this specification, and in which'li'ke numerals of reference indicate similar parts in the sev-' eral views, Figure l is a perspective View of the present nest looking at the front-of the same, Fig. 2 is a similar view lookin at the rear of the same, Fig. 3 is a vertical ongitudinal sectional view, Fig. 4' is a transverse Sectional view.
Referring now more particularly to the drawings, there is shown a rectan ular box 5, having the upper portion of its ront wall cut away, as shown at 6. The box is preferably open at its bottom, as shown at '7, and adjacent the bottom of the box and secured at each side thereof there are shown cleats 8 and 9 respectively. These cleats are thus arranged to support a sliding drawer 10. The drawer is provided with a bottom 11, and this bottom is formed (if burlap, or other similar fabric material. The burlap is secured t'p the sides and ends of the box by fastening cleats 12, as shown. By the provision of the cleats 8 and 9, it will be seen that the bottom of the drawer is held in spaced relation to the ground or other support upon which the box may be placed.

1. A hens nest-comprising. a box having the upper portion of its front wall removed are thus arranged to receive a slide 16. The slide 16 is provided at its rear with a "finger piece 17. .Above the cleats, 13, 14
15, the box isprovided with a partition i --18, and' at the center this partition is provided with an opening 19. The partition 18 and a slide 0 ening in its rear wall, anestsupporting oor provided with a central opening, a slide disposed below the. said floor and removable through said slideopening, the slide being cut away at its forward end in alinement with the-opening in the nest-supporting floor, and a removable drawer disposed below the said slide.
2. A hens nest comprising a box having the upper portion of one wall removed, a nest-supporting floor located within the box and having an egg passage formed therethrough, a slide disposed beneath said floor,
a recess in alineinent with the egg passage,
. said slide having one edge cut away to form said slide being movable to lie at tlmes W1th a solid portion extending beneath the egg passage and attimes with its cut-away portion beneath the egg passage, and an egg receptacle disposed beneath the slide.
