The operation of the machine is as follows:
When the machine is propelled, by side draught'or from behind, the standing corn enters (between the guides K and K) the covering b, there coming in contact with-the revolving troughs va a. a a, by which the eans are easily separated from the stalks, and thrown upward and backward over the apron into the husker,
