mold of this character which may be quickly operated to-form the section and which can be operated to readily disconnect the section."
' of' construct-ion, combination and arrange- 3, and has a pin 10, extending through its I ularl y to circular molds for making sections of Sewers, cesspools, catch basins, wells, silos -Fig. 5 is a top plan view, showing how a I plurality of the blocks look when associated.
by hinges 5, which permit free swinging of by a hinge 6, is an end piece 7, which carries MOLD.
To all w/wm it may concern:
Be it known that I, CYRUS S. l/VERT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kendallville, in the county of Noble and State of Indiana, have invented certainnew and useful Improvements in Molds; and I dodeclare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description ofthe invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to-which it appertains to make and use the same. My invention relates to molds and particand the like. I The object of the invention is to provide a simple, cheaply constructed, and efficient- With this and other objects in view, the lnvention consists of certa1n novel features ment of parts as will be more fully described and particularly pointed out in the. appended claim. 1
In the drawings, Figure l is a top plan view of the mold readyto be filled; Fig. 2 is a similar-view of; the mold shown in open position; Fig. 3 is a perspective view of one of the sections formed; Fig. 4 is. an enlarged perspective view of a portion of one side of the mold showing the reinforcement;
Referring more especially to the drawings, 1 and 2 represent the sides of the. device which arepreferably composed of'lO gage sheetsteel, reinforced throu hout their length" by' tee-iron braces, 3. hese sides have one end connected with the end piece 4 the sides upon the ends so as to release the same. from the molded article. v
Hinged to the opposite end of the side 2,
the latching bar 8, adapted to be straddled by the latch 9, carried upon the'slde 1. Th s. latching bar is held rigidly upon the tee-rib forward end adapted to engage the cam sur- Specification of'Letters Patent. I Patented July 26, 1910. Application filed august 30,

face 11, upon thelatchbar 8 so as to forcibly bring the end 7 into'engagement -with the side .1. The end 4 is provided with an outwardly extending ridge 12, adapted to form an outwardly projecting rib 13, upon the section 1%, andthe end 7 is provided withan inwardly projecting offset 15, adapted to form a socket 16, upon the section 14, which is constructed to receive the rib of an ad joining section, The sides of the device may be'formed upon the arc of any circle and may be separated by ends having sufii cient length to produce the width desired.
From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing,
theconstruction and operation of the inven end hinged to one of said sides at the oppo- I site end thereof, and having an inward offset to produce a socket in the molded article, a latching bar pivoted to said second end adjacent its hinged connection and having a cam face, a guiding pin therefor, a latching loop pivoted to the reinforcing rib on one side to engage over the latching bar, and a pinpassed through the latching loop and adapted to ride upon the cam face whereby the end is forced into engagement with the side and locked.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses. I
. CYRUS S. WERT.
