l'lhis invention relates to improvements in knoekdown shipping crates and more particularly to those designed especially for shipping p'oultry. lts object is the production of a device of the kind that whenset up or assembled will accommodate a number of fowls comfortably and when' empty clan be folded into very small space.

lith the foregoing and other objects in view the invention consists in the combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter fully described in the following specif lication, pointed out in the claim and illustrated 1n the accompanying drawings, in wlnch Figure 1 is a top plan of the crate. Figs. 1, 2 and 3 showthe crate assembled and Fig. 4 shows it knocked down. `When the crate is assembled and it is desired to fold it the bars 17 are drawn out of the threaded eye 15 and out ofthe e elets 16, the end pieces 11 and 12 are then fo ded in upon the floor, the floor sections are vfolded outward longitudinallyA upon each other, the top pieces 7 and 8 are folded in upon the side pieces 5 andthese last named pieces are folded down upon the end pieces 11 and 12. The threaded extremity of rod'17 isnow again inserted in screw eye 15 which is again in alinement with eye in bracket 14 as shown in.
