Be it known that I, FRANK H. non, a citizen of the United States, residing at. Galveston, in the county of Galveston and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful improvements in rEelephonelowing is a specilication.

This invention relates to mouthp-ieces for telephone transmitters and more particularly to a detachable disinfecting cap adapted to form a closure for the open end ot' the mouthpiece. The object of the invention ""ls to provide a comparatively simple and thoroughly etiicient device of the character described, capa- 'rorn the mouthpiece of the transmitter and by means of which the mouthpiece is rendered thoroughly sanitary.

A further object is to provide a detachable cap having a strip of cloth, paper or membrene secured thereto and saturated with a soluble germicide which will dissolve in the moist spray thrown out in talking and render the same sterile.

A further object is to provide novel means for locking the cap imposition on the mouthpiece of the telephone transmitter.
