A washing machine comprising in its construction power applying mechanism attached to. the frame and mechanism for operating the dasher, consisting of a power shaft supported bythe cover, a crank carriedlby the'power shaft, a yoke adapted to ride the crank pin, forks integral with the yoke, a tubular dasher shaft carried by the forks of the yoke, an annular attachment to the dasher shaft interposed between the forks` of the yoke, a lug integral with said annular attachment carrying a roller, a semi-circular standard attached to the cover and provided with a s iral slot in which said roller is permitte to travel, and a dasher attached to the base of the tubular dasher shaft,substantially as shown.
