TOOL-CASE.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE STOGKINGER, a citizen of Austria, residing at Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements in Tool-Cases, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a pocket case for carrying tools, and more particularly various sized drills used by craftsmen, and an obj ectthereof is to provide a suitable case that may be conveniently carried in the pocket of the workman, and in which the drills may be properly classified and of easy access.
VA furtherr object is to provide a case, whereby the drills disposed therein will be held securely against accidental displacement.
I accomplish these objects by means of the device described herein and shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1- is a perspective View of my improved drill case. Fig. 2 is a face View of the case in open position, parts being broken away for clearness of illustration. Fig. 3 is an end view of the case in an open position, portions being broken away for clearness of illustration.
In the embodiment of my invention illustrated in the accompanying drawing, 5 designates a pair of rectangular members, preferably formed of wood, the two adjacent edges being joined together by a iiexible member or back G, preferably formed of leather to resist wear. The inner oppositely disposed edges of members 5 are provided with a series of transverse bores 7 therein for the reception of the various sized drills 8. The oppositely disposed edges adjacent each bore 7 is supplied with a series of numbers corresponding to the size of the various Specification of Letters Patent.

' drills. The inner faces of members 5 can be supplied with diiferent tables and information relating to drillings. Each member 5 on its oppositely disposed edges is provided with a longitudinal saw-kerf 9 that will furnish the edges with enough resiliency to prevent the drills from falling out of the bores when carrying the drill case in the pocket.
It will be apparent from the above description that I have rovided a novel drill case, whereby drills o various sizes may be carried therein, properly classified, and of convenient access to the workman.
Having described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is l. A pocket drill case, comprising two flat rigid tool holders provided with transverse bores in their oppositely disposed edges for the reception of drilling tools, and a strip of iieXible material connecting the oppositely disposed edges of the rigid holders, whereby when the inner faces of the holders are brought into contact the flexible connecting strip will act as a protective covering for the tools projecting from the holders.
2. A pocket tool case, comprising two rigid members provided with transverse bores in their oppositely disposed edges, each of said members on their oppositely disposed edges being provided with a centrally disposed longitudinal slot, and a iexible member connecting the two rigid members.
