Be it known that I, HENRY HARRY TELEF- rnn, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Davenport, in the county of Scott and State of Iowa, have invented new and useful Improvements in Show-Window Gutters and Flashings, of which thefollowing is a full, clear, and exact description.

Another object is to provide Ventilators which communicate with the window inclo- -drawingsforming a part of this specifica tion, but l[ do not limit myself thereto as I consider myself entitled to all forms and embodiments of the invention which may be held to fall withinthe scope of the appended claims.

Referring to the drawings it will be 'seen that'the floor l of the show window does not extend out to the glass front 2, and that in* the space between the glass front '2 and the bottom 1 of the shew window is a space in whichthe principalmembers of 'my invention are disposed. The front of the floor 1 of the show window is cut clownwardly and inwardly as shown in Fig. `1, and there is a molding 3 having a convex surface, the said -molding being dsposed longitudinally along the inner side of the glass front' at its base..

portion which extends over the molding 3, and a flashing 8 which is adapted to fit against the glass front at its inner lower and front sides. 4 This fiashing may be leaded `as shown at 9 so that it will be dust and water proof. 4 4 v i .At one or more laces along the utter 7 are conduits 10 w ich are adapted to receive any liquid gathering'in the gntter and `carry it to a sutable'receptacle or Sewer.

The portion of the device has annu'lar openings at suitable distances apart, and these openings are connected with pipes 11, which serve as ventilators and are also adapted to keep the temperature at a proper level, thus in a measure preventng condensation of moisture in the atmosphere. It is proposed to make thegutter and the other members as small and neat as possible in order to give the device-a finished and neat appearance. v I

Having thus described my invention, ,I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent: i 4 v 1. A show window gutter'havinga flashing adapted to be disposed around an end ofa lass front, the gutter extending downward y and inwardly from the upward inner ortion of the flashing, then substantially orizontal for a distance', and then upwardly, a communicatin means leadin downwardly from the horizontal portion o the gutter, and a communicating means lead ing from the upwardly disposed portion of the gutter at the inner end of the horizontal portion.
