Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed November 15, 19(l9. Serial No. 528,251.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL GREENBERG,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Fort Washington, in the county of Prince George and State of Maryland, have invented new and useful Improvements inClothes- Hangers, of which the following is a specilication.
This invention relates to clothes hangers, and has for an object to provide a device of this character that can be formed chiefly of wire, whereby the cost of the article will be materially reduced.
Another object of the invention is to provide a clothes hanger with a plurality of' pivotally connected members, said members pivotally supporting the foldable arms of the clothes hanger.
Other objects and advantages will be apparent as the nature of the invention is better disclosed, and it will be understoodthat changes within the scope of the claimscan be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.

The arms 8 form companion members of a coat hanger, and, as illustrated, their eyes receive, together with the eye 6 of the member 5, a pivoted pin 9 whereby the arms of the coat hanger may be folded against each other. The eye 4 of the member 5 receives eye portions 10 at the inner ends of horizontally disposed supports 11, each being formed from a single piece of twisted wire, each of which having one extremity bent to form a trousers supporting rack 12, the other extremity being bent downwardly and supports are formed in alinement with'the Patented Jan. 18, 1910.

It will be seen thatthe coat hangers when in their" unfolded position are disposed in parallel relation to each other, the said hangers being preferably located at equal distances apart, whereby, the weight of the coats supported by the hangers will be equally distributed.
