To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JAMES I". SALLows, a
citizen of the United States, residin at I Lansing, in the county of Ingham and tate of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cable Grips, of which the followinr is e specification.
M invention retlates to cable grips, and its o ject is to furnish a device that shall be strong and reliable in operation, and yet simple and cheap in construction.
In the drawings, Figure 1 shows a longiform of my device,

My device is composed of two members; a drawin member, 1, and a gripping member, 2. As refer to construct it, the drawing member is provided on each side with a Harige or projection, 3, each of said flanges being adapted to slide in a corres ondmg groove in the gripping member, as s lown in Fig. 2; but it is evident that the relative positions of the flange epd groove might be reversed without departing from my invention. The operation of the device is as follows: Suppose a cable be inserted in the device and a tractive force be ap lied to the drawing member, 1. I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
