CRAWFORD, a izen of the United States, residing at io, in the county of Amite, State of Missippi, have invented certain new and usei Improvements in lVindow-Shade-Roller 'ackets; and I do hereby declare the folving to be a full, clear, and exact descripn of the invention, such as will enable iers skilled in the art to which it apperns to make and use the same. This invention relates to window shade ler brackets, and has for one of its objects increase the efliciency and increase the 'lity of devices of this character. Another object of the invention is to prole a simply constructed device of this aracter which may be readily adjusted to windows of various widths and to fit vaus lengths of shade rollers. lVith these and other objects in View the ention consists in brackets adapted to be I nected to a window casing and each proed with a socket having a longitudinal t, a rod slidable through each socket and ovided respectively with lateral apertures receiving the pins or journals of a shade ller, and a set screw operating through ch of said rods and extending through 'd slots and engaging against said bracket, ereby the rods may be adj ustably coupled said brackets. WINDOW-SHADE-ROLLER BRACKET.

scribed is designed to obviate these objections by providing a simply constructed hanger device which may be readily adjusted to fit any width of window or any length of shade roller.
The improved device comprises a bracket attached to each side of the window and as the brackets are precisely alike the description of one will suffice for both.
The bracket consists of a base 10 having means such as apertures for screws 11 by which it may be fastened to a window casing and each formed with a cylindrical socket 12 having a longitudinal slot 13. Slidable and rotatable in one socket is a bar or roll 14 and slidable and rotatable in the other socket is a bar or rod 15, the rod 14 having an ofiset 16 with an open slot 17 to receive the fiat pin 18 of the curtain roller 19, and the rod having an offset 20 provided with an aperture 21 to receive the round pin 22 of the roller. The rod 14 is also provided with a threaded aperture to receive a set screw 23 and the rod 15 is provided with a threaded aperture to receive a set screw 24, the set screws having diameters less than the width of the slot and extending respectively through the slots 13 and engaging against the inner sides of the sockets.
The set screws 2324 are preferably provided with milled heads to enable them to be operated by the fingers, the stocks of the set screws likewise extending through the slots.

The device is simple in construction, can be inexpensively manufactured and adapted to curtain rollers of various sizes and forms, and to curtain rollers of varying lengths.
What is claimed, is
1. A device of the class described comprising a bracket having means for attachment to a window casing and provided with a transverse cylindrical socket having an open longitudinal slot, a cylindrical rod slidable through and rotatable in said socket and with a lateral offset at one end provided with means for supporting a shade roller, and a set screw operating through said rod and extending through said slot and engaging against the inner side of said socket said set screw having a diameter less than the e improved device herein shown and de- 1 width of said slot.

. of a bracket connected to the casing at each 'drical socket having an open longitudinal slot, a cylindrical rod slidably and rotatably held in each socket and each rod having a lateral ofiset, one oflset having a transverse aperture to receive the round pin of a curtain roller and the other offset having an open slot to receive the fiat pin of the roller, and a set screw operating through each rod and extending respectively through the slots of the sockets and engaging against the mner sides of the same said set screws having VAN T.
