v .Be it knownthat I, EDWIN M. BAssLEi-,a citizen of the United States, and a residentpf Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and use-` ful Improvements in Pneumatic Feeders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to devices for fecding pulverized material and relates particularly to pneumatic feeders especially depted for feeding pulverizcd signed and ada coal, coke, sawdust, shavings, gram and the like, of the general type shown and de` scribed in U. S. Letters Patent No. 724,780, dated April 7 1903.

To effect these Objects, my invention consists of the-various features, combinations of features and details of construction herrinafter describedand claimed.

My improved feeder comprises a suitable g-receptacle, as a hopper 1, for containing the material te be fed thereby, as pulverized coal or the like. The lower end of the hopper 1 is closed by a plate 2 and communicates by i means of a lateral opening' 3, with a discharge .line or passageway 4, which conducts to'thc point of use, as a boiler furnace, kiln or the l ike, not shown.
