WALL POCKET AND RACK.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented July 27, 1909.
Application filed September 9, 1908. Serial No. 452,220.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES B.YOXHEIMER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lock Haven, in the county of Clinton and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful fall Pocket and Rack; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full,
clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The invention relates to a wall pocket andrack, and has for its object to provide an improved device of this character adapted to be used as a support for pictures, mirrors, towels, umbrellas and canes, and any other small articles.
\Vith these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the novel construction and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and shown and particularly pointed out in the appended claim.
In the drawings, Figure l is a front elevation of a wall pocket and rack constructed according to this invention. Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the same. Fig. 3 is a vertical sectional View.
Referring to the drawing, 1 and 2, designate the horizontal members which are connected together by two wires 3 one arranged on each end of the device. These wires each have a bend a at their upper ends, by which they securely connect themselves with the horizontal member 1. These wires also pass through the horizontal member 2 and then continue downward and form loops 5. They also form lower projections 6. The loops 5 are connected together by a horizontal member 7, which forms a brace for the device.
Arranged between the two end wires 3 are two inner wires 9 which are also connected with the horizontal members 1 and 2 and after passing through the lower member are bent upward thus forming a support for a mirror, picture or the like. The picture or mirror can be provided with suitable eyes 8' with which to engage the intermediate wires 9. It will be seen that within the bend of the wires 9 papers and the like can be readily stored while said wires are engaged in supporting a picture, mirror or the like. It will also be seen that the loops 5 are adapted to receive umbrellas, canes and the like. The lower projection 6 is designed for'the use of coats, umbrellas and other suitable articles, which can be readily hung thereon.
The device is intended to be hung upon the wall by a pair of nails or projections 10.
It will be seen that my invention is simple, inexpensive and durable and can be used for storing or supporting a great variety of articles.
hat is claimed is:
A device of the class described, consisting of upper and lower horizontal bars, end wires connecting said bars and having their lower ends formed into two loops and projections below said loops, intermediate wires connecting the bars and projecting upward and outward therefrom, and a mirror or the like supported by the projecting portions of the intermediate wires and, together with said bars and wires, forming a pocket or receptacle.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
7 CHARLES B. YOXHEIMER.
