To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, LUTHER C. JAQUns,a citizen of the United States, residing at Spokane, in the county of Spokane and State of Washington, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Vapor-Bath Cabinets; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in vapor bath apparatus and the object in view is to produce a simple and efficient device of this nature, and comprises various details of construction, combinations and arrangements of parts which will be hereinafter fully described and then specifically defined in the appended claims.

Figure 1 is aperspective view of the apparatus, doors of the saine being shown open. Fig. 2 is a Cross sectional view. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view, and Fig. i isa detail view showing the manner in which the sides fold one upon another.

Reference now'being had to the details of the drawings by letter, A designates the casing of the apparatus which may be of any suitable size or shape and is provided with doors B which are hinged thereto and the ends of the upper of said doors are preferably inclined and taper as shown clearly in the drawings and are adapted to seat against similar inclined and tapering edges of the openings in the wall of the casing. Mounted within the latter is a series of heaters, designated each by letter C, one of said heaters being adapted to have a boiler in which any desired liquid may be heated to cause vapors to be driven off therefrom and each boiler is provided with a pipe D eX- tending upward and connecting with the bottom of a radiating plate E. Each of said pipes is perforated below the radiating plate to allow the fumes to make exit in the pipe and come in contact with and be spread by the radiatingplate, which latter is perforated, thereby causing the steam or medicinal fumes to be thoroughly disseminated through the casing or cabinet. Said pipes pass through a drip pan F positioned a slight distance below the radiating plate and is provided for the purpose ofcatching the condensation from any vapors which may be given off from the boilers.

Projecting from the end walls of the casing are the cleats H, and K designates a `bunk or bed supported upon said cleats and upon which a patient is adapted to lie. One end of the casing is cut away as at N for the reception of the neck of a person using the bath, so that the head of the person may eX- tend outside of the cabinet or casing. suitable covering R is adapted to it over the top of the cabinet in the manner shown in Fig. l of the drawings.

The walls of the cabinet, as noted in the drawings, are preferablyconnected together by hinges T vandthe adjacent hinged edges are shouldered as shown so that, when the walls are opened out at right angles to each other, portions o f the ends thereof will overlap each other and thereby make a tight joint. By this provision, the apparatus may be vfolded into a compact form, if desired, for any purpose. i

What l claim'to be new is :m

l. A vapor bath apparatus comprising a casing having openings in the walls thereof, doors to said openings, a series of heaters within the casing, pipes extending from said heaters, a radiating plate, connected to said pipes, a drip pan positioned below said radiating plate and through which said pipes pass, and a bunk supported above said radiating plate, as set forth.

2. A vapor bath cabinet comprising a casing having doors regulating openings in the walls thereof, heaters within the casing,

-pipe's projecting from said heaters, a perforated radiating plate connected to said pipes, the latter having perforations below the plate, a drip pan mounted below the radiating plate and through which said pipes pass,

one end of the casing having an opening in which the neck of a person is allowed to pass, and a shelf upon the outside of the casing for supporting the head of a person, asset forth.

3.
