Another object of my invention is to provide a fixture that can be secured to a window frame without the use of nails, screws or similar fastening means. i

A further object of thisinvention is to provide a fixture having ad ustable curtain pole brackets and shade roller supports.

A still further object of this invention is to provide a simple, durable and inexpensive curtain fixture.

In the drawings :Figure 1 is a front elevation of myfixture partly broken away as applied to a window frame. Fig. 2 is a plan of the fixture partly broken away and detached from the window frame. Fig. 3 is an end view thereof, Fig. 4 is a detail rear elevation of a part of the fixture.

In the accompanying drawings, 1 designates a bar that is arranged transversely of a window frame, at the top thereof. This bar is slotted adjacent to its ends, as at 2 and extended through said slots are bolts 3,

provided with winged nuts 4. The bolts 3 are employed for holding slotted shade roller supports] 5 and window frame clamps' These clamps comprise arms 6 and straps 7 for embracing the upper edges of a window frame 8. Connecting with the bolts 3 and with the upper ends of the strap 7 are chains 9, said chains being connected by a coil spring 10. The chains 9 and spring 10 are ada ted to lie upon the up er edges of the win ow frame 8, with t e portions or branches of said chain which connect with the bolts 3 extending downwardly in front of the frame. The curtain roller supports 5 are constructed of metal; slotted as at 11 for adjustment, and pierced and slotted, as at 12 to receive the pintles of a shade roller 13, similar to ordinary shade rollers.

Slidably mounted upon the ends of the bar 1 are sleeves 14 carrying extensions 15, said extensions having-supporting flanges 16'for curtain pole brackets 17, these brackets being of a conventional, adjustable form.

The straps 7 embracing the upper corners of the window frame 8 prevent the bar 1 from sagging, when curtains or draperies are suspended from the fixture.

By loosening the nuts 4, the brackets 5 can be adjusted to any desired position within the limits of the range of movement provided for, and, the loosening of the nuts 4, also permits of the bolts 3 bein moved in the slots 2 and 11 so as to adjust t e clamps 6, 7 for different widths of window frames. As the clamps are moved inwardly or outwardly, the spring 10 contracts or is extended according to the direction of movement, so as to keep the chain 9 comparatively taut.

It isapparent that I have devised a novel fixture that can be used in connection with a windowframe without marring or injuring same.

Such modifications and variations of my invention as fall within the scope of the appending claims can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.

Having now described my invention what I claim as new, is

1. The combination with a window frame, of a slotted bar, bolts adj ustably mounted in the slots of said bar, straps carried by said .bolts for embracing the edges of said frame,

a resilient connection between said straps, shade roller supports adjustabl mounted uponsaid bolts, extensions slidab y mounted upon the ends of said bar, and curtain pole to said bar, extensions slidably mounted 10 brackets detachably connected to said eX- upon the ends of said bar, and curtain pole tensions. brackets carried by said extensions.
