DISK-HOE To all whom Lt may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN PFEIFER, a citizen'- of the United States, residing at Springn field, in the county of Clark and Stateof Ohio, have invented certain new and useful lrnlprovemen-ts in Disk-Honers, of which the fol owing is a speciiication.
My invention relates to improvements in honers-.and it particularly relates to a device of this kind especially adapted for honing disk cutting blades such as the ones now in common use in wall paper trimmers.
The object of my invention is to provide means for changing the position of the honing stones relatively to the blade during the operation of honing Aso as to prevent the honing-surface of the same from becoming rid ed or uneven.
further object of my invention is to simplify, eheapen and' make more effective the construction and operation of these devices.
My invention consists in the constructions ,and combinations ,of arts hereinafter described'and set forth 1n the claims. l,

In thesaid drawings, a 0,1 a2, represent the main frame, preferably formed of U-shape, and having at one end thereof on the part, a, a suitable handle a? to be grasped by the operator. Connected to the outer end of said rock shaft is an upwardly4 extending arm c4, carrying at its outer end ahoning stone c5. This rock shaft is also capable of longitudinal movement in its bea-rings in the frame parts and is normally spring pressed toward the right hand side of the device by a coil spring c6 located between the frame extension af* and the hub ofl the yoke c1, the shaft being limited in its movement by the contact of said yoke or its` hub, with the frame part al. Also located in extensions a5 and a of the main frame is a rock shaft d. These frame ex-4 tensions are located in a slightly angular position with reference to the main frame so that the rock shaft will extend in a slightly angular direction but not sogreat .as the angle of the other rock shaft c. The disk cutting blade e, to be honed is secured to the end of the shaft, h, by the` screw e1, and the adjustment and location spring pressed against ofy the honers is such contact the inner or straiglht edge-of the disk. 3. In a honing device, means for supporting and rotating the article to be honed, a s ring-pressed honer located adjacent tothe pIane occupied by the edge of said article, and means for reciprocating said honer, substantially as specified.
4. In a honing device of the -character described, means for supporting and rotating the article to be honed, a spring-pressed f honer located on each side of and adjacent to the plane occupied by the edge of said article,.and vmeans for reciprocating said honers as the article is rotated, substantially `as specied.

- 8. In a honingdevice, a rotatable main shaft, meansfor securing the article to be honed thereon, two rock-shafts, a honer supported by each of said rock-shafts in prox imity to the plane occupied by the edge of said article and on opposite sides thereof,
means for holding said honers yieldingly against the edge of said article, and means operated by said main shaft for rocking said rock-shafts, substantially as specified.
9. In a honing device, a main rotatable.'
shaft, means for supporting the article to be honed thereon, a rock-shaft, a honer connected to said rock-shaft extending in proximity to the plane occupied by the edge of said article, means for holding said honer yieldinglyvto said article, a cam on said main shaft, and a projection on said rock-shaft shafts extending in proximity to said cam tocause said rock-'shafts to be rocked thereby, substantially -as specified.

In a honing device, a shaft, means for securing the article to be honed thereto, a rock-shaft, a -honer su 'ported by said rock-shaft in proximity to t e plane occupiedby the edge of said article, said honer being set -in angular relation to said plane and-held yieldingly therein, and means operated by said main shaft `for rock ing said rock-shaft, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
