IMPROVEMENT IN 'BEE-HIVES.

The Schedule referred toin these Letters Patent and making paxt of the same.

To all 'whom it may concern y:

Be it known that I, MILLINeToN-EASLEY, of Rush, in the connty of Jo Daviess, and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Bee-Hives;

and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear,v

` cloth is to be attached by nailing, orvotherwise, at Athe top, so as to hang-down as a curtain..

To this cloth the bees may attach the honey-comb instead of to the door or to glass, and by opening the door, the cloth may be raised from the honey-comb without injury thereto, such as lis consequent upon' yopening the door or removing the glass to which the comb has been attached. Y

It will be seen that as the bees build from the top of the hive, so that the comb hangs down, it is liable to attachv to this cloth as it wouldto glass or the door; but unlike either ofthe latter, the cloth may be taken hold of at the bottom, and lifted o the comb,'without breaking or otherwise injuring it. l

What I claimas my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The application, to a bee-hive, of the cloth A, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
