From the foregoing description the use and operation of my nnpi oved push car will be readil understood. Assuming that the body of t e car is in the normal position as shown b full lines in Fig. 1 and by dotted lines in *ig. 2, ifit is desired to cause the bod to assume the dumping position, the she t 15 is rotated sutliciently to .disengage ing normally the supporting blocks 23 from the rollers 20,
whereby the said body will slide automatically to the position shown in full lines in Fig. 2. This is the dumping position of t 10 car, and it is also the position in whicht e car may be loaded if desired. When the car is in this posit-ion it'is easily returned to the platform, since it is centrally hinged whereby its opposite'sides are equally balanced.
The end plates 9 are provided with upwardly pro]ecting flanges 9" which constitute retainingdeviees and also serve as guides for the body 22 of the car.
Having thus described my invention, what I- claim is i 1. A car having a latform whose central portion and outer e ges are provided with longitudinally alined rollers, the central rollers being of greater diameter than the edge rollers for the purpose set forth. 2. A car whose platform is provided with a number of centrally located longitudinally alined rollers, the o posite edges of the car being also provide with rollers of less diameter than the central rollers, and a body laterally movable on the platform, the central portion of the said body being adapted to rest upon the central rollers when the said body is in its normal position, the outer edges of the body 'being provided with blocks adapted to en age the rollers of lesser diameter, and suitable means for actuatin the centralrollers whereby an initial latera movement is imparted to the car body, substantially as described.
3. In a car, the combination with a platform provided with rollers of d'ifi'erent diameters, a body laterally movable on the rollers, the plat 'orm being provided with one hinge member and the body with another hin e member, the two members beseparate and distinct. from each other but located to be brought into operative relation when the body member is laterally shifted,substantially as described.
4. In a car of the class described, the combination with a platform, provided with a central roller, and an edge roller, a body restin upon the rollers and laterally movable, the edge roller being of less diameter than the central roller, and the body being provided with a block adapted to rest upon the roller of less diameter to compensate for the difierencc in size, the central roller be ing provided with a shaft. a lever loose on the shaft, and a ratchet and pawl connection between the lever and shaft whereby the central roller may be actuated to impart the initial lateral movement to the car body, substantially as described.
5.
