To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, RUSSELL E. BENNER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented (certain new and useful Improvements in Fu1l Stroke Mech-.- anism for Adding-Machines, 'of which the essential that there shall be effective means for compelling full strokes of the operating handle. Otherwise it would be a very simple matter to make themachine go wrong.
However, by power when such a machine is operated there is no need for the full stroke safe-guard and in fact it becomes an objecf tionable feature because of tendency to become locked when the machine is run at high "speed. When the machine'is to be run by power the handle, is detached and under such circumstances there is presented to. the full stroke pawl313 a plain edged surface in stead of the notched periphery of the sector. For this purpose asegmental plate 319 is arrangedon the inner side of the sector, conforming in general outline with the segmentalportion 311 of the latter.
