Be a known that I, BERT Cnosnv, a citizen residin at Dayton township, in the county of Butler and State 5 of Iowa, have invented certain new and usei ful Improvements in Tiling; and I do hereby j deolarethe followin to be a full, clear, and 1 exact description 0% the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters andfigures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification. This invention relates to new and useful improvements in tiling, and the object of the invention is to produce an apparatus of this nature whereby the sections may be revented from lateral movement, afforr ing means for. keeping out foreign or other matter likely to pass between the joints.

By reinforcing "the: portions of the upper section of the the adjacent to its joints, it will be noted that a substantial tile is afforded which willre'sist heavy pressure which might come uponthe same for any pur ose.

What I claim is:'
A tile made up of an upper and alo'wcr section, the lower section having fiat bottoms with their upper surfaces semi-cylindrical, the outer surfaces of the lower sections being slightly convexed, the upper sections-having flanges projeeting beyond. one end thereof and the longitudinal edges of the section, the flanges upon the longitudinal edges of the section being slightly concaved" and to the" convexed surface of the outer surface of one end projecting flange of an adjacent section, said flanges being raised above the surfaeeof the upper section, asset forth.
