nrt to which it epperteins to Ineke end ilse the sinne, reference being had to the eccompenying drawings and to characters of reference marked thereon, which form apart of this specification. y
The invention hes reference, generally, to improvements in vibratory power-hammers; and the invention relatesfmre particularly, to a novel device or implement in the form of a power vacuum hammer which is provided n't one end with e. tool-holding ineens or s. receiving socket so iis to connect with the tool, a. chisel, dril riveting, or hammering, or a plugging tool, the device or implement being readily held and carried in the hand for the proper mani ulction of the device or im lement with tie work for which it is inten ed.
The present invention has for its principal object to provide s novel :ind simply constructed device or hammer of the general clinrecter hereinafter set forth, which is pro- 'vided with e rapidly vibrating element or ininiiiiei', driven in e downward direction by ineens of' s plunger against the tool-holder find returned in its opposite direction by the vacuum' produced by the return-movement oi the plunger.
With this end in view the present invention has for its main object to provide n power viiciiiim hammer or implement in contra-(listini:tion to n pneumatic hammer in which ii reciproczitorv striking member is caused to he moved inici( mid forth hy ineens y of the action ol' coin n'essed sir upon one or,
both sides oi' the stri ring member.
lOther oliiects of this invention not nt this 'ytii'ne more particularly mentioned will lie 'clearly understood from the Following dctiiiled descriptiiin ol' the seine.
The present invention consists, primarily, in the'noi-'cl power vziciiiini liiininicr or iinplcniciit lieioiniiltor more l'iillhv sot lorth; and, this invention consists in the various .iiiinngements sind combinations oi' devices find piiits, .fis ivi-ll ns in the details of tlio con- Specieetion of, Lettere Patent.
