Description
No. 887,041. PATENTED MAY 5, 1908. H. HANSEN.
MANUFACTURE OF INTERMEDIATE WALLS. APPLICATION FILED $21 121. 1907.
HANS HANSEN, OF BREMEN, GERMANY.
MANUFACTURE OF INTERMEDIATE WALLS.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented May 5, 1908.
Application filed September 27, 1907. Serial No. 394,824.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HANs HANsEN, a subject of the German Emperor, and resident of 28 Hamburgerstrasse, Bremen, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in and Relating to the Manufacturing of Intermediate Walls, of which the following is a specification.
The present invention relates to the manufacturing of intermediate walls made of plaster.
In the accompanying drawing in which I have illustrated my invention like letters of reference refer to like parts throughout the different views.
In said drawings, Figure 1 shows a front View, Fig. 2 shows a section on lines AA of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows another lever arrangement.
Two posts a, which are brought into a ver-- tical plane by means of supports 6 are placed opposite at a distance apart corresponding to the thickness of the wall to be built. Each post a is provided at certain distances with pivotally mounted levers a, supported by bolts d. The levers c are provided with pro jections e. Furthermore pivotally mounted levers g are placed on the vertical supports and provided with projections These levers have handles h. The projections present a large surface. The narrow levers c are guided in guides 2' located outside of said levers.
The use of the apparatus is as described hereafter.
According to the length of the wall I erect several such pairs of posts and place at their lowest end two plates is, which stand opposite each other at a distance corresponding to the oppositely located plate, The levers I are simultaneously turned around their bolts in order to place the plate resting below against the projection e of the lever c, by the projection f of the lever g into a vertical plane. In order to use this apparatus for any desirable height I can compose the posts a of several pieces, which as shown in Fig. 2 are mortised together and are kept together by bolts m. Instead of moving the plates 75 by hand I provide rollers n on the upmost end of the post a and guide a cord 0 over the same and connect it with the said plates. If one lever shall be spared I use the apparatus as illustrated in Fig. 3. In this last construction the lever c is provided with, besides the projection e, a sloping nose 70. This nose effects in place of the second lever g the exact vertical adjustment of the plates. In order to prevent'a falling down of the plate this projection or nose p may engage a groove of the plate 75.
What I claim as new and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent is 1. In an apparatus for the manufacturing of intermediate walls the combination of several vertical posts placed at the ends of the wall to be built, long plates located at a distance apart corresponding to the thickness of the wall to be built and connecting said posts, levers (c) pivotally mounted on said posts, bolts (d) supporting said levers in their horizontal position, means to lift the plates on all sides step by step, means to turn saidlevers upward, and means to turn said levers downward after the plates have passed the same, substantially as described and for the purpose set forth.
2. In an apparatus for the manufacturing of intermediate walls the combination of several vertical posts, long plates, levers (c), a guide, means to guide said levers in said guide, projections provided on said levers adapted to let the plate rest against the same, pivotally mounted levers (g), handles rovided on said levers, projections of said evers (g) corresponding to the projections of the levers (c), substantially as described and for the purpose set forth.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name this 14th day of September 1907, in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
HANS HANSEN. WVitnesses:
FERDINAND REIoI-I,
FR. I-IOYERMANN.
