AUTOMATIC INJECTOR.
To all whom it may cncem:
Be it known that I,LoU1s zen of the United States of Americm r'esiding at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State "of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Impro ements in Automatic Injectors,
of which the following is a specification, refer- ,ence beingjhad' thereinto, the accompanying drawings.
My invention'relates to that class of autoinatic injectors which are self-starting and re-startin'g. The distinguishing feature of this class is that in addition to' the ordinary overflow check valve into the atmosphere they are provided with an interior check valvejada'pted to control the overflow from the mouth of the combining tube.

Thus if any water accumulates in, the, overflowv chamber which is especially the case when an injector is sup ied with hot feed water or when it is wor ing' with steam near the limits of pressures for which it is adapted, it will constantly absorb such water, .thus causing the injector to keep in operation when otherwise it would cease working. 4
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim is v 1. In an automatic injector, the combination with the casing and overflow chamber tubes arranged in Jalinement with each other in said chamber and forming an overflow opening between the same, a cup valve sliding on the lift-in 1 tube and extending beyond tube, adisk'doose on thecombining tube l adapted to for m a seat for the cup valve and an overflow outlet'froni the overflow cham 1 her arranged at a point above the cup valve.

In an automatic in'ector the combination with the casin an overflow chamber formed therein, of t e lifting tube entering one side of the overflow chamber and the adapter to f 'drm a seat for said cup va ve and 'a valve controlled overflow outlet from the overflow chamber located above the bottom of said chamber and adapted to form a water seal in said chamber for the overflow from the lifting and combinin tubes.
In an automatic in ector, the combination with the casing and overflow chamber formed therein, of lifting and combining tubes arranged in alinement with each other in said chamber and forming an overflow opening between the same, a cup valve sliding on the liftin tube and extending beyond and inclosing the mouth of the combining tube, a disk loose on the combinin tube adapted to form a tilting seat for t e cup valve and an overflow outlet from the overflow chamber at a point above the mouth of the combining tube.
4. In an automatic injector, the combination with the casing and overflow chamber formed therein, of lifting and combining tubes in said chamber and forming an overflow opening between them, an automatic overflow valve having a tiltin seat controllin said overflow o ening ans a valve contro led overflow out et from the chamber at a point above the mouth of the combining tu )e.
5. In an-automatic in'ector, the combination with thecasing an overflow chamber formed'therein of lifting and combining tubes projecting into said chamber from opposite sides and forming an overflow opening between them, ,a cup valve slidin on the lifting tube and inclosin the mouth of the combining tube, a disk oose on the combining tube adapted to form a tilting seat for the cup valve and a"'valve controlled overflow outlet from the overflow chamber at a po nt above the cup valve.
