7 In connection with a clock mechanism proper it has been found desirable to have a number of auxiliary attachments for various invention, the in full lines to for accomplishing various results.
In the present invention I have provided a bank in connection with a clock mechanism, the bank being an imitation of a bell. An positioned adjacent to the clock mechanism proper together with an electric li ht for illuminating the face of the clock. T ese combinations and arrangements of parts provide a device that is very desirable and useful.
Referring more particularl to the drawing, 1 indicates a metallic fiame work or base, and 2 and 3 are uprights secured to the base 1 by any suitable means as bolts 4, 5and 6. The bolt 6 is adapted to engage at one Patented March 17, 1908.

Starting with the binding post 23 current will flow through wire 2 1, battery 19, which augments the current passing therethrough, wire 25, binding. post 26, wire 27, push button 21, wire 28, wire 29, lam 18, wire 30, Wire 31, to binding post 32 of battery 20. When thebutton 21 is pushed current will flow in the circuit just traced and cause the lamp 18 to illuminate the face of the clock, as will be evident.

At thesame time that the circuit t irough the bell is formed, it will be perfectly evident that the lamp circuit will also be formed, By this construction when it is desired only to light the lamp 18, it is only necessary to press the button 21, but when it is desired to ring the bell it is necessary to press the metallic button 22 against the base 1,.
When it is desired to use the bell 2-1 as an alarm in connection with the clock 9, the alarm mechanism of the clock is provided with a rotating arm 34 which is positioned out of contact with arm 35. The arm 35 is connected with bindingpost 23 so that when the alarm mechanism of the clock rotates arm 34, until the arm contacts therewith a circuit will be formed in which current Wlll.

When the alarm mechanism" of the clock rotates arm 34 until it contacts with arm 35,
. the bell will continue to ring until the battery 20 is exhausted, unless arm 34 is moved out of contact with arm 35. When the bell 11 is operated by the circuit just described, in order to conveniently break the circuit, the arm 34 is slightly rotated and an insulating sleeve 36 is interplosed for holding the circuit open. When t e circuit is open, the
bell 11 cannot be operated again by the alarm mechanism of the clock 9 unt1l the sleeve 36 has been removed and arm 34 hav ing been rotated away from arm 35, and set to be a ain brought in-contactwitharm 35, at any 'esired time by the alarm mechanism of the clock.
What I claimas new'and desire to secure" by Letters Patent is 1. A device of the character described comprisin a. clock provided with an alarm arbor,an e ectric-al bell, a circuitfor said bell,
means connected with said arbor to interrupt said circuit, means for supplying current to saidbell, an electrical lamp, a circuit for said lamp, a circuit parallel with said first mentioned circuit, and] a metallic push button switch for closing the circuit of said lamp when pressed and completing the circuit ofsaidfbell when pressed against said clock.
2. A device of the character described comprising a clock, an electrically operated bell in electrical connection with said clock and adapted to beset into operation thereby, an electrical lamp, means operated by said clock for closin the circuit of said bell and a metallicpush hutton interposed in the circuit of said lamp and said bell whereby when said button is pressed ainst the clock said bell will 0 erate and sai lamp will be lighted.
