It will be seen that with the construction shown, the return movement of the reciprocating part of the phonograph, that is the reproducer arm in the construct-ion shown, is ell'ected entirely by the power of the electric motor and does not add at all to the work to be performed by and cannot ati'ect the operation of the spring motor.
It will be understood that the invention is not to be limited to the exact construction and arrangement of arts shown in the drawings and to which t e foregoing description has been mainly confined, but that it includes changes and modifications thereof within the claims. Itwill be understood also that features of the invention may be employed independently of other features thereof, and that the invention or features thereof may be applied to other forms of pbonogra hs trout that shown.

I claim-as my invention 1. The combination with a phonograph and a motor for actuating the phonograph in reproducing a record. of means for automatically storing power in said motor in the interval between successive reproductions of a record or records,-snbstautially as described.
