To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, llENni llENnEiisoN, a citizen oi the United States, residing in the borough ot Manhattan, city, county, and
State of New York, have invented a certain j lin roved Mold ltannning Apparatus, of
which the following is a specification.
rl`his invention 'relates to apparatus lorrainining molds for cylindrical castings such as pipe. The driven and are so mounted as to be adjustable vertically and horizontally, and are-carried by a support that swivels about a vertical axis, being 'suspended flexibly therefrom out oi line with said axis. The apparatus inay be used with statioiiary or rotatable molds. By the vertical and horizontal adjustments the rainn ers may be`readily adjusted to molds of dillerent diameter and arrange` ment. The swiveling support permits the pendent raini'ners to be brought into propel' relation to the inoldnas, for instance, if the axis oi' the support coincides with thel axis ofthe inold the radius of the points of suspension of the raininers may be substantially the radius of the i'nold. This construction perinits of the employment of a plurality of raininers suspended from a single support.

The rammel' supporting apparatus, indicated generally by the letter J in Fig. l, inay be composed of a horizontall divided casting j, the sections of w hich are held toffetherby bolts. The upper section has a tu ular extension y tapped at its upper end and formed with a lateral extension je tapped at its outer end and shown in Fig. 2 as closed by a screw plug. The lower section has a tubular extension j", the axis of which is coincident with that of the tubular extension j. In a cylindrical chamber between the two sections j, j of the casting and supported upon anti-friction balls j* is a ilat cylindrical body lc having froin`its under face a tubular extension It" extending into the enlarged lower end of the 'part j.
