To all -u'zom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MAX F. Annr. a citizen of the l'nited States, residing at NewiYorlt city, Manhattan, county and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements iii Rotary Pumps, of which thc following is a specilication. i
This invention relates to a rota-ry pump which is oi simple construction, cleanly in its operation, and is not apt to become rapidly worn by abrasion. The sand, slime, pulp and for similar purposes.

Chamber l17 coirnnunicates directly with the bore of the ingress gudgeon 11 and receives the material, to be pumped, through a fixed valve-controlled inlet pipe 20 projecting through said gudgeon into the chamber. Within chamber' 18 is fitted a spiral conveycr 2l having convolutes of gradually decreasing dlametcr. Oi these, the innermost convolute communicares directly with the bore oi the egress gudgeon 12. The fixed discharge pipe 22 of the pump connects with the outer end oi' gudgeon 12, to which it is coupled by a siuliing box 23.
Rotary motion being' imparted to the pump cylinder by belt 14, the material to he lifted is delivered by pipe 2O into chamber 17, from whence it passes through openings 19 into the outermost convolute oi' conveyor 2l: As the pump rotates, the material will illus he raised until itv is discharged iromthe innermost c'onvolutc of the conveyer into gudgeon 12,' and thence out. ol' discharge pipe 22.
