SLEDGE. APPLIOATION rum NOV.16 1905.

PATENTBD JULY 30 1907- FRITZ BRANDNER, OF LEOBEN, AUSTRIA-HUNGARY.
SLEDGE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented July 30, 1907.
Application filed e be 16,1905. Serial No. 287,592.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRITZ BRANDNER, merchant, a citizen of the Empire of Austria-Hungary, residing at Leoben, Austria-Hungary, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sledges, of which the frame-work of which is suitably shaped of one single piece of steel tubing so that the cheeks, embracing with their end portions the two curved ends of the runners, at their entire length are parallel to the runners, and are connected with each other by two or more stays so that a perfect rigid structure is ohi tained eliminating all vibrations of the frame, the
latter forming a very simple and secure holder for a seat-netting etc.
In the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification Figure 1 is a side view of the sledge, Fig. 2
a plan view and Fig. 3 a front elevation.
The two runners a, a, the curved front part b, and the cheeks c, c of the sledge consist of a single piece of steel tubing bent into the appropriate shape. The
cheeks c, c forming the end portions of the steel tubing and embracing with their ends the two curved ends of the runners, are at their entire length arranged parallel to the runners and connected with each other by two or more stays d, d. The square formed by the rear portions of the cheeks c, c and the two stays d, d serves as a frame for a suitable seat-netting etc. From the construction described above it will be seen, that the arrangement of the frame work of said sledge is such as to admit a perfect rigidv construction eliminating all vibrations of the frame and offering a very simple and secure frame for the fastening of a seat-netting etc.
Having thus described my invention, What I claim is: p
In a sledge having a frame suitably bent into shape from a single piece of steel tubing, cheeks c, c embracing with their end portions the two curved ends of the runners and parallel to the runners for their entire length and two or more stays connecting the cheeks substantially as described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
FRITZ BRANDNER.
Witnesses ALVESTO S. Hoenn, ALBERT BENEKE.
