Be it known that I, JAMEs L. NlX, a citizen of the United States, and aresident of Homer City, Pennsylganie, have invented certs-in new and useful Improvement in Thermostats, of which the following is e specification.
My invention relzitcs to improvements in thermostats, and has for its object to provide a simple and economical thermostat especially ode ted'for use in incubators.

Fig. 5 is transverse sectional view showing the mode of attachment of the thermostat to the well of the incubator.
The thermostat of my invention corn-- prises a channeled metallic strip seated within a channeled metallic strip 6, the strip 6 halving its side walls cut away at a point be tween its ends as indicated by the numeral 2-, and being slightly bent at the point where its walls are so cut away. A third channeled strip-member 8 is" mounted upon the-strip (5, being cut away at e point between its ends as indicated by the numeral 9, the strips 8 and (i being attached to each other at the point where their side walls are cut away, by the rivet ll). Within the channeled strip 3 the -lninncledmnunber ll is seated. The strips 5 and 6 are commuted at their outer extremitics by the rivet 12.
