1., A talking-machine sound-box having a diaphragm andta casing therefor, a stylus-lever having an integral portion bentat an an gle to the remainder and bearing directly upon said'diaphragm, with a resilient bar extending substantially parallel to the diaphragm and forming an elastic connection between said st'y s-lover and the side of the diaphragm-easing opposite that beyond which the saidflever projects, said connection extending from its point of attachment to the stylus-lever in. a direction opposite thereto and in'iparting resiliency to said lever, substantially as described.

2. A talking-imichine sound-boxhaving a diaphragm and a casing ver bearing upon the diaphragm, a resilient bar extending substantially parallel to the diaphragm and crossing the diaphragm-casing in the semedircction as said stylus-lever,
