'showing one ofthe lower Be it' known that I, WILLIS F. WALKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at York, in the county of York and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new anduseful Rail Tie and Fastener, of whichthe followl ing is a speciiication.
This invention relates to combined rail ties and fasteners; and` its object is to provide a metal tie which is of durable. construction and which is provided with novel means for fastening rails thereon.
Another object is to provide fastening devices which are adjustablefor engagement with the base-anges of rails or for engaging shlates in osition upon the rails.
Wliththe a ove and other objects in view the invention consists of certain novel features of construction and combinations oi parts which will be hereinafter more fully described, and pointed out inthe claims.
