TOY-PISTOL The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the lame.

To all whom it may concern:

. Be it known that I, WILMER D. GRIDLEY, of New Britain, county of Hartford, and State of Connecticut, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Toy-Guns; and, to enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, I will proceed to describe its construction and operation, by referring to the drawings, in which the saine letters indicate like parts in each of the' figures.

The nature of this invention Will be understood from the specification and drawings, in Which--` c is thc barrel, and b the stock, formed in one piece.

c is the chamber of the barrel.

d is a vertical orifice, directly at the breech of the barrel, in which the elastic end of a peculiar-shaped spring, (better shown than described at 6,) one prong of which is secured to the upper side of the stock, just in rear of said orice d.

' f is a trigger-catch spring, secured to the under side and having a pressure-spring, g, bearing against the rear end thereof.

NowLby inserting the arrow into the chamber, and pressing it back against the spring, the spring will be caught by thecatch fm, and held firmly, until released by a pull of the trigger t', when the rod Will be discharged om'the barrel.

I believe I have thus shown the nature, construction, and operation of this invention, so as to enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same therefrom.

What I claim, therefore, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- 1 The barrel and stock ab, in one piece,- spring e, 4trigger-spring t' f, spring g, and orice d, substantially as and for the purpose described.
