The numeral 1 designates the envelop, and A series of address-slips 3 are attached one u on the other to the face of the envelop by olding their ends back- ,ward and securing them by glue or other suitable means to the rear of the envelop, as seen at 4 in the drawings. It will thus be seen that these address-slips 3 do not constitute .a partof. the envelo proper, but are simply desi ed to receive-t e address. Break-lines -.5, w 'ch may take theformof a line of'perforations, as seen in the drawings, are provided at each end of the address-slips 3, so that they can be easily and quickly torn off after being used.
