To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, IDA B. LAMPING, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Allegheny, in the county of Allegheny and new and useful Improvements in Curtain- Fixtures, of which the following is a s ecification, reference being had therein to t e accompanying drawings.

This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in curtain-fixtures, and has for its object to combine a curtain-pole and brackets whereby the fixture can be easily and quickly secured to a windowframe or doorwaywhich is to be draped with curtains.

The invention aims to provide a fixture for supporting one or more curtains, the fixture being so constructed that the ordinary type of rings and pins commonly used for curtains are dispensed with.

The fixture as constructed by me is extremely simple in construction, strong and durable, and comparatively inexpensive to manufacture.

With the above and other objects in view the invention finally consists in the novel construction, combination, and arrangement of parts, which will be hereinafter more fully described and then specifically pointed out in the claim, and, referring to the drawings accompanying this application, like numerals of reference designate corresponding parts throughout the several views, in which Figure 1 is a 1plerspective view of my improved curtainture, illustrating curtains secured thereto. Fig. 2 is a rear perspective view of the same, the curtainsbeing detached; and Fig. 3 is a vertical sectional view of the fixture.

To ut my invention into practice, I have provi ed a fixture which is preferably constructed of light sheet metal, and in top plan view the fixture is substantially U-shaped.

The fixture comprises a central portion 1, having rearwardly-extending ends 2 2, and these ends are enlarged, as indicated at 3 3, to form brackets. The brackets are ierced, as indicated at 4 4, whereby suitab e nails or screws may be employed to secure the brackets to a window or door frame.

From the foregoing description it will be observed that I have provided a simple and neat fixture which will enhance the general appearance of any room or compartment in w 'ch it is placed, and while I have herein shown the preferred manner of constructing my im roved fixture it is obvious that various c anges may be made in the details of construction without de arting from the general spirit and scope of the invention.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

As a new article of manufacture, a curtainfixture comprising a horizontally-extending flat metallic bar having its ends extending at right angles, brackets formed integral with said ends and pierced to receive fastening means, and hooks having screw-threaded shanks screwing into the bar and extending from the rear face of' the bar and inner faces of the angular ends with their free ends turned downwardly and inwardly toward the bar and toward said angular ends respectively.
