My invention relates to improvements in laundry-bags, its object being to provide a construction whereby the bag can be instantly emptied of its contents.
To that end my invention tain details of construction, a be fully hereinafter described and claimed.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a front elevation of my improved bag. Fig. 2 is a central vertical section taken in the line :1; :r of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a side elevation of- Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawings, 1 is the bag, of any suitable fabric, and preferably of recconsists of certangular configuration, provided along 'its name to this specification in the presence of upper edge with the stiffening-r0612, of wood or metal, and embedded within the material of the bag.
3 is a loo centrally secured to the u per edge (1):. the bag for suspending the same om a 00 ll of which will 4 is a centrally-arranged vertical slit in one of the faces of the bag, through which the soiled clothes are inserted.
The lower edges of the opposite faces of the bag are unattached, thus forming an open bottom, through which to remove the contents of the bag. One of the lower ed es of the bag extends beyond the other edge, forming a flap 5, adapted to be removably secured by any suitable fastening devices 6 to the bag to close the same.
In operation when it is desired to empty the bag it is only necessar to loosen the flap 5, when thecontents will drop or can be uickly shaken from the bag. The flap 5 is t en refastened and the bag suspended from its hook ready for refilling.
My improved bag is equally well adapted for the reception of Waste-paper, scraps, &c.
