To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ANGUs MGKENZIE, a subject of the Kingof Great Britain, residing at Canton, in the county of Stark and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Connections for Furniture-Sections; and VI do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a art of this speciiication, and tothe numera s of reference marked thereon, in which- Figure l is a perspective view showin a number of sections pro erly assembled. ig. 2 is a sectional view s owing my improved attachment placed .in osition for use. The present invention has relation to connections for furniture-sections designed to hold in pro er relative position and without danger of 'splacement any desired number of sections, which sections may be of anydesired form; but the present, invention has more reference to the connection of metal furniture having inner and outer shells or casmgs.

The inner casing 2 is s aced from the outer casing 3 by means of t e inte al bends 4 or their equivalents, as illustrate in Fig. 2; but in the present invention it is immaterial as to -how the inner and outer casings are held in proper spaced relation. The outer casings 3 are provided with any desired number of apertures 5, which apertures are so formed that when the furniture-sections are brought into proper position Vwith referv ence to each other the apertures will register, as illustrated in Fig. 2.

The connecting-pins 6 areformed of a size with reference to their diameters to closely fit the apertures 5, through which the pins are assed, said pins being formed of such a ength that when they are placed in the position illustrated, Fig. 2, then' lower ends will rest against the upper face of the inner casing 2 and extend beyond the top ofthe outer casing 3, as illustrated in Fig. 2, by which arrangement the adjacent sections of the furniture will be held against displacement, and when the sections are connected the entire number. of sections can be moved about without danger of displacement. The pins 6 are preferab y formed so that they can be easily detached, by which arrangement sections can be built up from time to time or the sections changed to produce the desired structure, consisting 'of any desired number of sections.

Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

In sectional furniture, a series of sheetmetal sections each having a bottom and a top formed of two metal sheets spaced apart, the upper sheet of one section and the lower sheet of a superposed section having registeringapertures and pins ada ted to enter said apertures and be confine therein by the other sheets ofthe su erposed section.
