To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, GEORGE HOLDEN, of Merchantville, county of Camden, and State of New Jersey, have invented an Improvement in Looking Devices, of which the following is a specification.

It is the object of this invention to provide a simple and efficient means for locking a movable catch or bolt operating part or handle against actuation by means of a removable obstruction, such as a padlock, whereby the ordinary locking mechanism carried by the door or part to be locked may be omitted and the door may remain unlocked and iree to be opened or closed by the movement of the catch-operating part when the padlock orobstruction is removed.
