Description
PATENTED APR. 3, 1906.
A. SCHMID-KBLLER. KNEADING TROUGH. APPLICATION FILED JULYl, 1904. RENEWED 001216,1905.
UNrrEn srA'rEs PATEN FFIE Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented April 3, 1906.
Application filed July 18,1904. Renewed October 16, 1905. Serial No. 283,012.
To @ZZ whom, it mfr/ 7j concern:
Be it known that I, ALFRED SCHMID-KEL- LER, a citizen of the Swiss Confederation, and a resident of Zurich, Switzerland, have invented new and useful Improvements in Kneading-TroughsI of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a kneading-trough, the construction of which is improved in such a manner that the trough can be easily cleaned.
In the accompanying drawings the improved kneading-trough is shown in Figure l in a side view, partly in section. Fig. 2 is a cross-section of the same.
The kneading-trough a is made of glass to prevent the disadvantages of the kneadingtroughs used at present, which, -being made of other materials, have `uneven surfaces and sharp edges which retain the dough, and thus favor unoleanliness.
In consequence of the use of glass as material for the improved kneading-trough the edges can be rounded, and the surface being quite smooth and even the trough can be easily cleaned7 so that no dough adheres to the same.
The improved lmeading-trough is provided with a horizontal flange around its upper edge, from which lugs c extend downwardly. Said 3o lugs are each provided with an incision for the reception of the upper end of one of the vertical supportsb, which form a collapsible stand of known construction. The glass trough rests upon the upper ends of the stand by means of the horizontal flange.
A layer d of felt or other suitable material is placed between the outer surface of the trough and the inner surface of the vertical supports b.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, ish
An improved kneading e trough made of glass, a horizontal flange around its upper edge and a rounded edge at the upper end of the trough, bosses downwardly projecting from the lower surface of the horizontal flange each pro vided with an incision and a collapsible stand the upper ends of which are inserted into the incisions of said bosses, substantially as described and shown and for the purpose set forth.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
ALFRED SCHMID-KELLER.
Witnesses:
JOSEPH SIMON, WM. A. STEINMANN.
