FLORAL DISPLAY-STAND.

To all whom it mag concern: Be it known that I, LOUIS the same are desired to be inserted into the apertures or holes 2 of the legs or supports 1 all that is necessary to be done is to see that the bent or upturned portions 5 are placed in their proper. relations, so that when the pots or receptacles are placed within the outer rings 6 the pressure caused thereby will tend to draw and firmly hold the curved inner ends thereof upwardly, so that the tension and pressure thereof will bear against the legs or supports of said stand and securely hold the brackets in fixed relation to said legs or braces. The legs or braces 1 of said stand or support are securely fastened to a base 7 in any suitable manner, and the top 8 thereof may be secured likewise, care being taken, however, to have the same of hollow formationfor the purpose of enabling a pot or receptacle to be inserted therein if desired.

By making my floral display stand or su port of pyramidal form I am enabled to a d other sections thereto as desired, as shown in Fig. 1, without injuring or interfering in any way with the use of the lower section or portion thereof, so that the plants or flowers in the bracket portions will remain undisturbed and uninjured, and this I consider to be a feature of great importance in the present invention. v

In use in order to assemble all of the parts in their roper relations, receptac es may be inserted as intended, I first determine the advisability or necessity of using more than one section or ortion, and if more than one is to be used I p ace the base of the upper section over the top of the lower section, as shown in Fig. 1.

This invention relates generally to the lacing flower-pots or other receptacles 1n sue a manner as to be securely held in a desirable position, so that the flowers or plants contained therein will One object of my invention is to construct a stand or. sup ort for plants so that it will be light, durab e, and attractive and at the same time be of sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the usual pressure and strain that the same is likely to be subjected to when a number of pots or receptacles are attached thereto Another object is to construct the stand or support as a whole so that a considerable number of arms or brackets may be securedtherein as desired, so that the stand or support can be readily and quickly adapted to receive few or many pots or receptacles.

A further object of my invention is to construct and arrange the floral display stand or support so that other sections thereof may be added to or taken from the same without in any way interfering with or injuring the plants contained in the brackets or arms of the lower or bottom section thereof.

I desire ,to construct my floral display stand or su port of metal, although any other suitab e material will answer the purpose, the same consisting of legs or braces 1, preferably arranged in tripod or pyramidal formation, and in said legs or braces are provided 'a number of apertures or holes 2 for the urpose of enabling brackets 3 to be inserted and secured therein, as shown in Fig. 1. Said brackets consist of arm-like portions 4, the inner ends of which are bent and u turned, as shown at 5, and of outer rings 6 of suitable size and formation to receive pots or receptacles containing flowers or plants, and when or subtract one section from the other and at the same time do away with the necessity of securing or fastening means, a matter of considerable importance in the construction of a device of this character. Having fixed the floral stand or support as desired, I then insert as many brackets 3 as needed in the various apertures or openings 2 on the legs or braces 1, care being taken, as before stated, to see that the curved inner ends 5 thereof after being inserted through said apertures or holes 2 are upwardly turned or converged, so as ,to effect the necessary holding means when the pots or receptacles are placed in the outer rings 6.

From the foregoing it will be readily seen By contoo that by constructing the body of my floral stand or support in a pyramidal form I am quickly enabled to build up a structure capable of displaying a great number of plants, and that to their best advantage by reason of the possibility of changing the brackets thereof, and that the same is especially applicable to greenhouses and other places where various plants are desired to be shown to their best advantage, and, furthermore, that the various sections of this stand are capable of being telescoped within each other, so as to minimize labor as well as space, thus facilitating moving the same from place to place.

What I regard as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a floral display-stand, the combination of a plurality of sections, each section 20 consisting of upright supports fastened to a circular base portion and to a circular top portion of less diameter than the base portion, brackets adapted to be fastened to the supports for the rece tion of plants, and the sections proportioned so as to telescope within one another, substantially as described.

2. In a floral display-stand, the combination of supports in pyramidal formation, said supportsbeing secured to top and base portions, apertures in receive brackets, said brackets having at their inner ends curved upturned portions adapted to engage the inner side of said supports and at their outer ends rings for the reception of pets, substantially as described.
