7. A hollow water cooled urnacedoor having a vertical back plate, and an inner transverse top sill removably secured to the door by bolts extending through its back plate and terminating within the hollow water-containing cavity or' the door; substantially as described.

A furnace-door having a hollow body with bottom ilanges projecting forwardly in `front of the body, a hollow cross-sill removably bolted to said front ilanges, external pipe connections between the sill and body, and a removable top sill secured to the inner portion of the body by bolts extending through the back plate of said body; substantially as described.

A hollow water-cooled door having an open top, a hollow sill secured to the lower part of the door, and having outlet-pipes leading to the hollow door, the sill being arranged to direct any steam to said connecting-pipes` and means Vl'or 'circulating a cooling lluid through the door and sill; substantially as described.
