SIMON DANOYGER, OF DAYTON, OHIO.
PIN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 782,830, dated February 21, 1905.
Application filed April 12, 1904. Serial No. 202,753.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, SIMON DANOYGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Pins; and I do hereby. declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the numerals of reference marked thereon, which forms a part of this specification.
My invention relates to improvements in pins, the several features of which will be fully hereinafter described and claimed.
The object of my invention is the construction of a pin with an ornamental head consisting of three loops of like dimensions-two lateral loops with line joining their centers at a right angle to the shaft and an end loop with its center in line with said shaft.
The construction is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which the figure is an elevation of the pin.
The numerals designate the several parts of the pin.
The pin is constructed of a single piece of wire and consists of the pointed shaft 4, the circular loop 1, an extension from this at an angle across the line of said shaft, the circular loop 3, formed with center nearly in line with said shaft, crossing again the center at the same angle, the lateral-like loop 2, and terminating with the end 5 snugly lying against said shaft. The shaft is nearly in line with the .center of the group of loops forming the head.
In the outer portion of the crossing wire is a slight bend at the intersection to bring the several loops nearly in the same plane. The head forms a convenient grasp for the fingers, and the use is like that of ordinary pins.
Having fullydescribed my invention, what I claim is- As an improved article of manufacture the pin formed of a single piece of wire comprising the pointed shaft, the two lateral loops of like dimensions the line joining whose centers is at a right angle to said shaft, and an intermediate loop extending outwardly from said shaft and formed by crossing the wire centrally and nearly in line with said shaft and the end of the terminalloop lying against the shaft, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
SIMON DANCYGER.
