TO ALL WHOM IT MAY'CONCERN:
Be it known that I, WILLIS S. BnoNsoN, of the city and county of Hartford, and State of Connecticut, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Magazine or Reservoir Qoal-Stovesjand to enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, I will proceed to describe its construction and operation, by referring to the drawings, in which the same lettersindicate like parts ineach of the figures.
The nature of this invention will be understood from the specification and drawings. I The object desired to be attained thereby is to combine utility with durability, cheapen the manufacture, economize fuel, and render it ornamental and attractive inits appearance.

Thus it will be seen that when the double damper is pulled forward or pushed back, it will fix and regulate the'smoke and hot-air fiues of the stove, and this is all accomplished by'one motion of the red h.

The plate 0, in connection with the outer wall of the stove and fire-pot 0', serves the triple purpose of forming a base or support of the fire-pot o, and also forming a dead or non-circulating hot air chamber between the outer surface of the fire-pot and the outer walhthereby enabling me to burn the coal at much less temper uture and less powerful combustion than can otherwise be obtained, and, also form a division between the ashpit a and hot-air-chamber b. The coal-magazine or reservoir is made in one, two, or more parts, and with tubes f, and secured together by flanges, or other proper means, and supported by the double-ventilated top a, near or just above its lower end, and steadied at the top by the bottom plate of the smoke and hot-air-circulating flues e e, thus supporting an unbroken column of coal from the top of the magazine 'or reservoir to the fire-pot.
I believe I have thus shown-the nature, construction, and advantage of this invention, so as to enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same therefrom. V v I I am aware that attempts have been made to efi'ectnally introduce the use of ovens into parlor or base burningstoves. I
What I.claim, therefore, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is---- 1. The double-ventilated top a, which covers the combustion-chamber b, and forms a support for the magazine or reservoir 11, substantially as and for the purpose described.
