TO ALL WIIOM IT MAY CONCERN Be it known that I, JOHN H. MEARS, oi' the cityof Oshkosh, State of Wisconsin, have invented a. new and improved Device for wringing.,r Mops; and, I do hereby declare that the following is a. full, clear, und exact description of the construction and operation of' the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specification. n

My invention consists in the use of a horizontal frame,.arching forward at the top, the latter affording bearings fora roller, and has a hinged connection at 'the top with vibratory arms, also supporting a roller. The rollers are brought in contact (over the platform wherein a pail maybe set) through a connection from the vibrator-y arms to a lever, which is actuated by a--treudle.

A A is a horizontal frame, supported on casters z'zz'. B B are upright standards, hinged centrally to frame A at w, and supported in position lat option by hooks s s. C C are supplemental arms,- forming a vbratory frame, which is hinged to the upper extremities of D B.. E E are rollers, with journals, one each n B B and C C. D is an upright arm er sp1ing-Jever secured in D', and is actuated by treadlc F--thc spring v actuating n return motion. g is a bail or conneetin between the vibrating arms C C and lever D, connecting at d. The mop is inserted, for wringing, between the rollers E The rollers are brought in contact by'depressing. the trcadle F and actuating the arm D. Tho-arm D also serves as a spring, und allows an elastic action between the rollers. The frame A A affords a platform whereo'n to seta pail beneath the rollers E E. By reasonof the frame or standards vB B being hinged to the horizontal fram-e A, -and the bail g being detachable from the lever D, the wringer may he folded in a compact form, seen in fig-2, convenientfor placing away.

What I claim as iny invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isf-4- v y 1. The hingiug of the rectangular standards BB to the horizontal frame A A, the hooks s e, the hinged arms C C, and the detachable connection at d, when arranged substantially as described for the purposes set forth.

2'. I claim thehinged arms C C, the spring-lever D, and the bail g, when arranged relatively to each other and to the rollers E E, standards B B, frame A A, and treadlc F, as and for the purposes set forth.
