BOILER-TUBE CLEANER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 734,613, dated u1y 28, 1963.
Application filed March 18, 1903- T0 at whom it may concern:
Be it known that I. CHARLES BURTON RIS- Princeton, in the eountyof Gibson and State of Indiana, have invented certain new and ers; and I do hereby declare the following to invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and This invention relates to cleaners for boiler construction and combination of the parts hereinafter fully described and claimed.

The pipe 0 is connected with the boiler in any convenient way, such as by a flexible pipe, and it is provided with a regulating-valve of approved construction.

The branch b is provided with a socket g, which slips over a part h on the branch a, so that the two parallel branches may be slid closer together or farther apart to suit the tubes of the boiler to which the device is to be applied. G is a screw for securing the two branches together after their position has been adjusted. The device is used by applying it to two adjacent boiler-tubes and admitting steam through the jet-pipe. The steam-jet draws the hot gases of the furnace through the tube 1) and forces them through the tube at. The hot gases and steam become intimately mixed in the mixing-chamber D before being forced into the boiler-tube to be cleaned, and the steam is thereby dried and superheated, so that it does not deposit moisture upon the sides of the said boiler-tube.
