To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK FISHER, a citi-. zen of the United States, and a resi 'ent of the city of New York, borough of Brookl n, in the county of Kings and State of New York, haveinvented a new and Improved Ink-Reducer andProcess of Making the Same, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
This invention relates to a means for reducing ink, whereby the ink is placed in a condition facilitating its proper manipulation and application to the paper;
By means of my invention the ink is softened and caused to properly adhere to the paper, thus preventing the ink from peeling oil of the paper. The reducer also prevents the ink from being ofiset from the paper-- that is to say, it preventsthe application of excessive quantities of ink. Owing to this and to the fact that the ink treated with the reducer dries very rapidly, the fresh-printed" sheets, placed one upon the-other, will not adhere nor-'will a lower sheet-transmit its.
