TO`ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: y
-Be it known that I, MILTON J. PALMER, of VSyraeuse,'in the county of Onondaga, and in the State of New York, have invented certain new and useful/ Improvements in Coupling for Vehicles and do hereby declare that the following is a. full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to thc'letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specication.
My invention is intended to connect the whifle-tree to the cross-piece of the vehicle-shaft, and is composed of two parts, A and B, connected by a screw, @passing through an opening made in the centro of each. rIhe casting A is so formed as to have a ilange at each end b b', having openings :u a: for connecting it to the crossahd an arm, E, at the front part, with a shoulder, z, formed upon its extremity. In Figure 4 the two sections are shown connected together. Eitherl part or section may be used for the top or bottom, and when connected to the while-tree and cross-bar, or other suitable part of the vehicle, they form n. neat and durable coupling.
