srncinlcnrron forming part of Letters Patent No. 726,054, dated April 21, 1903.
Application filed June 23,1902.
human-treatment apparatus, and refers par-. ticularly to an apparatus to be used in the practice of what is known as osteopathy;
and the object of my invention'is'tlie production of an inexpensive apparatus, which will prove entirely'efficient, beneficial, and .prac
tical for the purpose intended.
With this object in view, my invention consists of anapparatus of the character'and for the purpose stated embodying novel features of construction and arrangement of a parts substantially as disclosed herein.
Figure 1 represents a perspective view of the complete device or apparatus,and Fig. 2 represents a transverse sectional view thereof.
formed with a longitudinal central passage or channel B, in which is adapted to rest the body, and the base has the inclined'walls or faces 0, which when the device is inv use press or bear adjacent to or against the body along the spinal column, and the base has,
40 press upon the body along each side of the "Serial in). 112,799; (No model.)
spinal column undergoing treatment, and the operator can work upon the body with ease for adjusting the bones or muscles, stimulating the nerve action, and generally performing the manipulations upon the body in the practice of Osteopathy. The base when 'the apparatus is inuse is supported upon a table or other suitable supporting-platform.
I I claim-- l 1.An apparatus for treating the human body, consisting of a base p'ortionihaving central longitudinal. groove-' and having oppositely-disposed inclined walls or faces extending from the upper edges of said groove 0utward-substantially as described andfor the purpose set forth.
2. 'Aniapparatus for treating the human ing from the upper edges of said groove out- .Ward, and having upper curved edges, substantially as described and for the purpose 7 I set forth. My invention is of extremely simple construction and comprises a ba'se'or bed"A,'
3. An"apparatus for treating the human body, consisting of a base portion having central longitudinal groove and having oppo sitely-disposed inclined walls or faces extending from the upper edges of said groove outward, and having upper curved edges terminating in outwardly-inclined faces, substantially as described and for the purpose set forth.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
