Our invention relates to improvements in The back and seat we prefer to make of childrens carriages of that class commonly some flexible material, such as carpet or canknown as go-carts; and it is the object of vas, fastened at one end to the bar 14, which our invention, among other things, to so conunites the front ends of the bottom bars 7 X5 struct and unite the parts that the carriage and thence passes beneath the rod 15, which may be folded, and thereby occupy the minijoins the back bars together midway of their mum amount of space when not inuse, and length, and is secured at its upper end to the also that the back, seat, and foot-rest may be bar 2. shifted to and locked in a position so that the Pivotally connected at one end by the pin- 2o carriage may be used as a cot. tle 16 to the bottom 7 is the link 18, which is It is a further object of our invention to so also pivotally secured to the front bar by the design and construct the several members pintle 17 and projects a sufficient distancein that the carriage may be manufactured atthe front thereof to permit of the attachment minimum cost and when completed be both thereto of a flexible foot-rest 19.

Referring to the drawings, in which like In Fig. 1 the parts are shown when arranged numerals designate like parts in the several for seating a child in the carriage, the bot figures, Figure 1 is a side elevation of the cartom and back at substantially a right angle riage when open and ready for use. For convenience we cut a hole through the back at 20, so that the carriage can be hung up, the hook passing through the hole 20 and the weight of the carriage being supported by the bar 2.
There are minor changes and alterations that can be made in the details of our construction aside from those herein shown and described, and we would therefore have it un-- derstood that we do not limit ourselves to the exact construction herein shown and described, but claim all that falls fairly within the spirit and scope of our invention.
lIaving described our invention, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. In a childs carriage; a body member comprising back bars; front bars pivotally connected at their upper ends to said back bars above the seat and having wheels connected with the lower ends thereof; bottom bars carrying wheels at one end and forming a support for the seat at the other end, and to which the said back bars are adjustably secured midway of their length; and a link pivotally secured to said bottom and front bars and having a foot-rest connected therewith, substantially as described.
2. In a childs carriage, the combination with the back bars; of front bars pivotally connected thereto at their upper ends and having wheels at their lower ends; bottom bars having wheels at one end thereof and longitudinally slotted midway of their length;
a locking-bar threaded upon either end and passing through the said slots and threaded into the lower ends of said back bars; and a link connecting said bottom bars with said 5 front bars, all constructed and operating substantially as described.
3. In a childs carriage, the combination with the back bars 1; of the front bars 4pivotally connected thereto at their upper ends; axle 12 connecting the lower ends of said front bars; wheels 6 rotatively mounted thereon; bottom bars 7 having longitudinal slots 10 therethrough midway of their length; an axle 8 connecting the lower ends of said bottom bars; bar 14 connecting the front ends of said bottom bars; links 18 pivotally connected to said bottom and front bars and having a foot-rest 19 connected therewith; and a locking-rod 11 threaded at either end into the lower ends of said back bars and passing through the said longitudinal slots 10, all constructed and operating substantially as described.
In testimony whereof we affix our signatures in presence of two witnesses.
